Coco is home!

Coco is back at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary after his stay in the hospital under the care of Dr. Peter Caldwell.

We await news of the biopsy and the x-rays of the lump in his chest. For now, he looks very pleased to see brother Chino, who lay waiting as the travel crate was opened and was also pleased to see his brother. As soon as Coco stepped out of his travel crate, the boys rubbed heads through the gate to their main habitat.

They will be kept separate for tonight – we let animals settle and get comfortable again after a visit to the hospital – but the boys should be back together in the Kornberg Habitat tomorrow.

We will be LIVE from the Sanctuary on Sunday, March 15 – 6pm South Africa; 4pm UK; 12pm EST; 9am PST.  We will see if we can check in on Coco and Chino then.

Coco and Chino were rescued together by ADI from a circus in Peru as we emptied the animal circuses following the ban on wild animal acts. Their loyalty and affection for each other is a vivid reminder of the emotions and needs of animals.

Please help fund the veterinary care for these old warriors who endured so much.
