Tomorrow, the young lions rescued from the illegal wildlife trade by Israel’s Nature & Parks Authority will begin their journey to the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa.

Preparations are well underway and for several weeks the lions have been going in and out of their travel crates to minimize stress on the journey to South Africa via Germany. The lions will be loaded tomorrow afternoon and be driven to the airport, with the flight to Frankfurt taking off just after midnight.

We will be reporting live during the mission, starting at approximately midday in Israel on Sunday 2 August (11am South Africa, 10am UK, 5am EST, 2am PST).
