Yesterday, Mahla, Coco and Kimba all had dental work at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary – mainly a good clean and polish, although Coco and Kimba had each had an incisor tooth removed.
All three recovered well, were kept in overnight, and this morning are back with their families enjoying the sunshine in their large habitats – we wish the weather had been like this veterinary work yesterday!
These are today’s pictures, and they all look content.
Mahla and Coco were rescued from different circuses in Peru 12 years ago, and Kimba from a circus in Guatemala 8 years ago.
Yesterday’s veterinary day was another example of the year round care these rescued animals need.
Long after the raids on circuses to seize them, and the incredible airlifts to take them to freedom, these circus survivors still need your help. Donate UK £, Euros, Rand | Donate US $, CA $
