Old lions delighted to be reunited

After a trip to the hospital following a health scare, Simba is back at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary and over the moon to be with brother Rey. The two boys were rescued eleven years ago from a small, bare circus cage in Ayacucho in Peru’s Andes mountains and brought to a new life in our sanctuary in South Africa. Now over 17 years old, they are senior lions but have barely been apart in all of that time. Lions are the most sociable of all of the cat family – don’t miss the final shot, filmed yesterday, with the boys still looking over the moon to be together again.
