Malnutrition in a circus in Guatemala had stunted Jade’s growth and left her with walking difficulties and she had lost her tail, but they never broke her spirit. This video was the day she cracked the ADIWS play center puzzle.

We are heartbroken to report the passing of one of our young tigers, JADE, who was taken into hospital after slowing down and showing signs of discomfort. Dr Caldwell found that 9-year-old Jade had a very large, fast-growing stomach cancer. There was nothing to be done and trying to treat it would cause more suffering. It was time to let her go.

Did anyone get roses for Valentine’s Day? The baby tortoises at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary certainly did! Over 60 baby leopard tortoises seized from traffickers, are growing up in a nursery at ADIWS, and will be released into the wild. Turn up the volume and listen to them munching on their Valentine’s blooms.
