Last week, Dr Caldwell sedated Muheeb (one of the #Kuwait6 lions) at ADIWS, and took blood, urine and fecal samples following concern that although he is eating, he appears to be losing weight. He has previously had his regular internal and external parasite treatments. So, we await the test results. As Muheeb was an illegal pet before being taken in by Kuwait Zoo, we have limited health background.

Peter gave him a battery of additional vitamins, supplements, and antibiotics and his food is being monitored and adjusted each day. We await test results.

Muheeb awoke from the procedure in good spirits, his usual playful self – especially enjoying his first treats of the holiday season.
