Chino back after veterinary check up

Chino is back with brother Coco after his veterinary checkup – back to his imperious self, monitoring activity in Kornberg Habitat at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary.

Chino, rescued from a circus in Peru with brother Coco, was sedated by Dr Peter Caldwell for examination of a small lump on his midriff. Dr Caldwell diagnosed a small umbilical hernia which may have been caused at birth, with his mother, Muñeca, pulling too hard on his umbilical cord (his mother was never known for her patience, so it makes sense). The conclusion was it is not causing a problem, so no need to intervene surgically, but it will be monitored.
