Rey stays cool in the blazing sun

Today, the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa, hit a scorching 44 degrees Celsius / 111 degrees Fahrenheit during a summer heatwave – it’s going to be a hot Christmas!

We’ll be serving ice lollies, made from blood from their lions and tigers’ food, mixed with water, then frozen, these are fantastic for enrichment and ensure the animals stay hydrated. They can also be especially important when keeping the fluids up for residents who have not been well.

Here, though, Rey Cusco is in great health and enjoying his ice lolly just for fun!
