Horse rescue!

Meet the newest arrivals to the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary, South Africa. When the SPCA found three horses hobbled and in poor condition in a street in a South African township, they asked if ADI would help. Of course we, said “yes” and started work on a paddock to receive the animals, which will eventually be free-ranging on the 455 acre sanctuary. Meanwhile another horse, called Sammy, was rescued and was forming a bond with the family of horses. Watch and see what happened next….

Our family of three horses, mom, dad, and their foal, do not have names – any suggestions? For anyone who donates, please add your name vote to the notes on the donate page and we will pick a name and announce it.

The ADI Wildlife Sanctuary was founded to provide a place of loving kindness for the lions and tigers ADI rescues. However, we are the only place in our state for many animals saved from abuse or traffickers and have become a home for donkeys, geese, ducks, goats, sheep, cows, and a release site for almost countless tortoises and turtles.
