Goliath visits the dentist

Goliath has just had two root canals performed by Prof. Gerhard Steenkamp today, was examined by Dr Peter Caldwell and is heading home to the Sanctuary.

Goliath was rescued from a French circus and arrived at the ADI Wildlife Santuary in late May along with lifelong companion lioness Coralie.

Many of you will remember him roaring and making his presence felt when he first arrived; the team at Old Chapel Veterinary Clinic noted he was a remarkably loud, vociferous lion during his stay in hospital.

Right now he is awake and alert in his crate heading home and we look forward to him being reunited with Coralie and his big, booming roar echoing across the sanctuary later today.
