Bob the Peacock Rescue

As Goliath and Coralie’s arrival was being watched around the world, ADI Wildlife Sanctuary was pleased to welcome a new resident, a peacock we named Bob. He had been found in an abandoned house and the SPCA asked if we could provide him with a home for life. Of course, we said yes!

Bob was very excited when we released him into the feeding camp of Antonia Habitat to join some of our rescued chickens.

Matilda the cow and her gang of sheep and goats in the main habitat, while their own homes are being built, came running over to greet Bob through the fence, with much excitement all around.

We are seeking another peacock or peahen to make a small group, and they can be relocated to the Sprague House garden, where we will be building the education centre, film theatre, café and visitor area later this year.

Welcome to ADI, Bob!
