On hand to care for them

We are pleased to report that the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary on site team has moved into the first completed section of our Tohir Staff Village (TSV) and the final phase is almost finished. Once complete, the TSV will house 15 Resident Welfare carers living on site at the heart of ADI Wildlife Sanctuary.

On duty 24/7 to look after the animals and deal with any emergencies. Also, when lions and tigers are first put together they need to be intensely monitored to ensure there are no problems. For example, brothers Tomas and Kimba were separated in a circus in Guatemala with Tomas (pictured) sent to a zoo but after ADI rescued them both they were reunited at ADIWS.

Each team member living on site has their own room with bathroom, with common areas including two kitchens, laundry room, a TV room, and a games room. A huge thank you to everyone who supported this important investment in the future of the Sanctuary and the welfare of the animals.
