Lupe, mother of Max and Stripes, was seen to have an eye injury and has been taken to hospital where she is being assessed by Dr Peter Caldwell.
One of the tigers ADI rescued from a circus in Guatemala who have all faced huge health challenges, poor Lupe also suffers from seizures and various allergies.
It is hoped that Dr Caldwell will be able to save the eye. Lupe was loaded in the evening before the drive to Old Chapel Veterinary Clinic – walking straight into the travel crate with encouragement by Johannes and Lefaso, a nice sign of the confidence we always maintain from the outset at ADIWS. We always aim to load animals awake and relaxed.
We are sure that like all of us here you will be wishing for dear Lupe to get well soon.
